Calisto’s started as a Portuguese family restaurant in Turffontein in 1992. The same recipes are now bottled at The Sauce Kitchen in Eikenhof and stocked at Pick n Pay, Spar, OK Foods and Meat World. What you can order
- Peri-peri sauces: the Classic, Senhor, Senhorita and Skull ranges, from 01 Mild to 04 Extra Hot
- Chilli sauces: Pepe red chilli, green chilli, jalapeño and habanero sauces, Chupito chilli sauce and peri-peri oil
- Table sauces and relishes: chilli relish, jalapeño salsa, sweet jalapeño chutney and sliced jalapeños
- Braai spices and seasonings: 19 blends, from braai salt to chip seasoning
Larger sizes are available on request: 500ml Thunder Bum Braai Sauce, Mozambican Peri-Peri Sauce and Prego Sauce, and 1kg packs of our braai spices. All Calisto’s products are Halaal certified (certificate S-0905).
